The "Macon City Code" is freshly printed & updated at the city library.
I went to the library yesterday and there is in fact an updated printed copy of the Macon City Code. I was required to sign my name & write down my phone number before being handed a 3 ring notebook with dividers marking the different sections of the binder. There are a thousand or more pages that are not sequentially numbered. I felt like I was back in elementary school & I am almost 70 years old. The pages are not numbered. They are marked with a combination of marks, symbols & characters that make it almost impossible to find anything you are looking for. The font is so small it ia hard to read even with glasses on. The printing shows the code is obviously indexed in digital format by "Municode". This means that the Macon Code is already in digital format, up to date, & should be online.
The fact that the city took the time & spent the money to print & index at least 1,000 pages of codes & ordinances makes absolutely no sense until you think like the shady & deceitful folks that agreed to do such a thing. I am under the assumption this ridiculous printed code book has been quietly sitting in the city library since July 2025. This was done shortly after our terminated city administrator made mention that there was no published "Macon City Codes & ordinances" for citizens to reference. The citizens of Macon have been governed for decades without the ability to comply with laws and ordinances due to no source of reference.
When you put on your dunce cap & think like a moron the newly printed, all but impossible to read or reference, monstrous three ring binder of codes was done for multiple reasons.
The code is now "technically" available for citizens & contractors to access which allows there to be some semblance of "code enforcement" to be carried out by the city, without the city being sued. However, it is all but impossible to find what you are looking for.
Another detail that stands out can be found in the front pocket of the three ring notebook. There are printed sheets of paper that citizens can fill out to be able to speak at city council meetings. This was done due to the mayhem caused when the wading pools were defunded . Citizens were very upset and unable to voice their opinions to the city council. If you remember the citizens in attendance walked out during the council meeting.
The librarian asked that I sit at the table which is closest to their desk. The younger female librarian was watching me like a hawk. I understood this because I was taking pictures of the front page that shows the "Municode publishing data". I also snapped a pic of the loose copies of the " citizens request to speak form".
When I returned the 10 lb waste of paper & printer ink to the desk I was asked by the senior librarian to print my name because they could not read my signature. When I asked why I needed to print my name the younger librarian snapped " Because we are being accused of stealing pages". So, I can only guess if one of the un-numbered pages was deemed to be missing the cops would show up at my door with a search warrant. Instead of laughing at the pissed off librarian I made an angry comment that if the code was published online nobody could steal pages they don't like.
During his speech at the "Meet The Candidates" forum, Talt Holman mumbled something about the Macon City Code being made available to the public but they didn't want to make some people mad. This may not be exactly what he said because he was mumbling & had his mouth partially covered with hand gestures. Who knows what the heck he was talking about but internal correspondence may reveal the real story.
There are too many reasons to count why we need a new mayor that doesn't come with such controversy. PLEASE get out and vote on April 7th, 2026.

I find it impossible to believe that this isn't digitized somewhere. It's obviously not available to the public for whatever reason, but the police and other departments must use it every time they write a ticket for legal infractions or municipal violations?
Another EXCELLENT reveal ! Keep up the fantastic work.
